Science fiction/fantasy/horror as well as young adult in those genres. Please do not submit fan fiction.

If you are serious about improving your writing to take it to the next level, please send in your work. This year the workshop will focus on selling to genre markets, with an emphasis on revising and presenting your work professionally.

The workshop will consist of your fellow workshoppers and at least one professional writer. Work should be as polished as possible before you submit. Each piece will be thoroughly reviewed and discussed. Approximately two weeks before the workshop, the coordinator will email manuscripts to each participant for critique. Come prepared to discuss.

The workshop is free to ApolloCon 2012 members, but you must register for the workshop by the June 2 deadline. All workshop members must have an ApolloCon 2012 membership (either full weekend membership or Saturday day membership) by the start of the workshop on Saturday morning. Memberships may be obtained online or by mail in advance of the con, or at the door (more registration information at our Registration page).
